گودال
(horst = hill) and down-dropped blocks called grabens (graben = ditch).
Horsts form the ranges and are the source of sediments that have accumulated in the basins created by the grabens.
Graben
The down- faulted blocks (grabens) form basins, whereas the up-faulted blocks (horsts) erode to form rugged mountainous topography.
