Puberphonia: Mutational Falsetto and Juvenile Voice
When this acoustic change does not take place, despite normal laryngeal matura- tion, puberphonia occurs.
Males with puberphonia may speak in falsetto voice, or near the top of their modal frequency range, hence the clinical term "muta- tional falsetto."
