The physical domain describes fatigue as a loss of ability to perform activities due to somatic symptoms of tiredness and loss of energy.
Attempts to explain the etiology and pathogenesis of cancer-related fatigue (CrF) assume complex and multicausal processes in which somatic, emotional, and cognitive factors interact and ultimately lead to fatigue and a reduction in performance.
