close : A portion of land, as a field, inclosed as by a hedge, fence, or other visible inclosure, or by an invisible ideal boundary found on limit of title. The interest of a person in any particular piece of land, whether actually inclosed or not. NOTE : Persian حرز literally means haven, refuge, retreat, shelter, sanctuary, asylum and is typically conceived of a land inclosed by a hedge, fence or some sort of solid wall. In English. Breach of close is ‘unlawfully entering upon another person’s land,’ and we speak of ‘an action for trespass in breaking and entering the plaintiff’s close.’
