n (pl: متضررين), adj – For its verbal forms متضرر ساختن ـ متضرر شدن and متضرر كردن see in the main entry below. ■ n In Persian, as a noun, a person incurring any category of loss, damage, or injury of material or monetary nature and of the character of pecuniary loss that may be redressed or repaired excluding all forms of bodily injury, personal injury, real injury, and verbal injury – (the) injured party (False verdict – formerly rendered a jury liable to be prosecuted by writ of attaint at the instance of the injured party. Such writs of attaint were abolished in 1825. JBSe (Liquidated damages – The ascertained amount expressed in pounds, shillings, and pence, which an injured party has sustained, or is taken to have sustained. The term is used in contradistinction to a penalty.
