10.3 Photoconductivity of Nanorods 284
Photoconductivity of Nanorods
Gallium nitride (GaN) is a semiconducting material that not only demonstrates photoluminescence, but also, under UV irradiation, shows photoconductivity that is essential in terms of the compound's electrical conductivity.
[12] determined the photoconductivity of GaN as a function of nanorod diameter and showed that it increased exponentially up to a critical diameter value of 100 nm.
Beyond this limit, in a second range, the photoconductivity increased linearly with rod diameter.
