Anterioposterior and lateral EOS 2D images (image 1-2 from left) show a degenerative scoliosis consisting of a large left convex thor- acolumbar curve with a significant apical vertebral rotation and a right convex thoracic curve.
Presentation of EOS(tm) 3D reconstructions in various planar projections enables visualisation of the spinal geometry in the horizontal plane view from above ("top view") that brings a revolutionary breakthrough in orthopaedic surgery, especially in scoliosis surgery (Fig. 5).
