(lit) built on; based on; founded on; established on – Often used in the forms مبتني بر چيزي بودن or مبتني بودن بر چيزي and بر چيزي مبتني بودن be based on sth; be founded or established on sth – N.B. مبتني براينكه if used in place of and as an equivalent for مبني بر اينكه (purport that; to the effect that; providing that) is incorrect. Less educated speakers of Persian are apt to say مبتني براينكه where they should say مبني بر اينكه . While مبني and مبتني have shared meaning elements in their discreet form the two phrases are not interchangeable.
