1 Law:: obligee : A promisee. The person in favor of whom some obligation is contracted, whether such obligation be to pay money or to do or not to do something. The party to whom someone else is obligated under a contract. Thus, if C loans money to D, C is the obligee and D is the obligor under the loan. The party to whom a bond is given. HCB (Bond – An instrument under seal whereby a person binds himself to do or not to do certain things; this is a single bond. The person so binding himself is called the obligor; the person to whom he is bound, who is entitled to force the bond, is called the obligee.
