Granulomas (Figures 4-11 and 4-12) are vascular exophytic and inflam- matory lesions that develop following tissue irritation in the posterior larynx, usually on the medial surface of the arytenoid cartilage.1'3/13'27-29 A contact ulcer is an ulcerated lesion that occurs in the same site, often perceived as an aggravated consequence of granuloma.
