The pump has an isentropic efficiency of 70%.
Figure 2.6 demonstrates that the energy effi- ciency and the isentropic efficiency of the pump do not change with ambient temperature, while the exergy efficiency decreases with increasing ambient tem- perature.
It can be seen that, while energy efficiency and isentropic efficiency of the pump do not change, exergy efficiency increases as the pump inlet temperature with increases.
