It is important to standardize and categorize CT images for meaningful comparison of therapeutic modalities in clinical trials and for assessment of prognosis.
Investigations should include electrocardiography, CSF protein (for acellular protein elevation), electrophysiologic studies (axonal degeneration is associated with poorer recovery), and antibody status or screening for possible causative pathogens as well as prognosis.،
