Segmentation and Isolation through Depoliticization
The depoliticization of bureaucratic procedures has been recognized since Max Weber.
The archi-political realm depoliticizes individuals through the creation of distinct units of political life, alienating people from revolutionary consciousness.
The depoliticization of bureaucracy is addressed by Marx when he writes, "The opposition between state and civil society is thus fixed; the state does not reside within but outside of civil society; it affects civil society merely through office holders to whom is entrusted the management of the state within this sphere" (Marx 1970; 46).
